This one-year programme prepares students for entry into the British Education system with:
– Fast track English language programme and other complementary British academic subjects
Caxton College offers this programme for Secondary school pupils aged 12 to 14, and its aim is to improve their language skills in both English and Spanish, whilst studying British curriculum subjects.
Pupils can enjoy an international experience from one term to a full academic year, with the option to later integrate into the British educational system on successful completion of the programme.
The CISC Junior programme prepares students from 12 to 14 years of age who on successful completion of the programme will join Year 9 or Year 10 in the main school.
The education system at Caxton College combines academic achievement with an education in values, details of which are outlined in the school philosophy. This pastoral side of the pupils’ education is continually supported by our team of experienced teaching staff, and information on this can be found in our good relations guidelines.
CISC pupils share our state-of-the-art facilities with the pupils from the main school and are able to take part in any of the club activities that are organised by the extracurricular department.

English Language – Some students in the CISC Junior programme will sit the IGCSE English as a Second Language exam at the end of the year.

The CISC Senior programme prepares students from 15 to 17 years of age to take IGCSE qualifications at the end of the course. Pupils who successfully pass these exams can join Year 12 the following year to commence the A level programme.

The one year CISC Senior programme prepares students for the Sixth Form where they will continue their studies following a full British programme.
Students applying to the Caxton International Study Centre should contact the Admissions Department for an application form. Students applying from overseas may require our host family boarding service where they can stay from a term to up to one or more years.
If you would like your child to study with us as a boarder, we recommend that you start the process nine months in advance. This is particularly important in the case of non-European Community members, who require additional time to request and complete any necessary bureaucratic requirements (residency permits, etc).
Admissions procedure for CISC students:
The school day consists of lessons and also set times for morning break, lunch, and extracurricular activities.
