Year 6

Pupils in Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6) continue to work on the National Curriculum before finishing their learning journey in Primary at the end of Year 6.

All class teachers are highly qualified native Primary teachers who have a passion for education. Each year group also has an assistant who works alongside pupils who either need to be supported or challenged in their learning. Our teaching team is also made up of specialist teachers for the Spanish subjects, Physical Education and Music.

As children become more responsible for their learning and behaviour, they continue to work in a range of situations and participate in valuable learning experiences. Technology is an integral part of their day to day lives, and pupils in Years 5 and 6 bring their own iPad to school to use as another educational tool. They learn to research, collaborate, design and create, and choose how to present their work.

Pupils eat lunch from 13.30 – 15.05 but are also offered the possibility of participating in a range of club activities from 14.15 – 15.05.

We know that happy, motivated children learn best, so making learning meaningful and fun is something we strive to achieve.
